Paradigm Precision Manufacturing Engineer (Intern/Co-op) in Manchester, Connecticut

Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Work under the direction of an Engineering Manager or Senior Level Engineer to assist and perform basic manufacturing duties including CAD (KeyCreator/UG), routings, manufacturing process sheets, drawing and specification revision changes, Met Lab, excel spread sheets and special projects. You will receive real time manufacturing engineering training including trouble shooting and shop floor support under the supervision of engineering. As a Co-OP student engineer you will learn the basic technical and interpersonal skills as a foundation for your engineering career.

Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

  1. Full time student pursuing a degree in engineering
  2. Solid PC skills including MS excel and word (Power Point and Project are optional)
  3. Basic CAD software skills (Keycreator, Unigraphics or Solidworks optional)
  4. Reads and interprets blueprints, symbols and geometric tolerances based on military and commercial specifications
  5. Good verbal communications and written skills
  6. Meticulous and able to work in an environment requiring attention to detail and follow-up
  7. Good organizational skills and the ability to work independently as well as in a team environment. Education & Experience Required:

  8. Undergraduate or graduate student actively pursuing a Bachelor’s or Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering or an MBA.

  9. Level: Must have completed the sophomore year in college
  10. Grade point average: 3.0 or above
  11. Must be a U.S. citizen Working Conditions: Normal office working conditions with the absence of disagreeable elements. Limited time will also be spent on the shop floor.
