Our Spectrum BOP product is proprietary to HIG and is viewed as the market leader in this industry. Spectrum is a critical line of business for The Hartford’s Small Commercial business segment contributing in excess of $1 billion of profitable written premium per year. As we operate in both a fluid and competitive industry, we continuously innovate the line and create product / coverage improvements that meet the ever-changing needs of our customers and to remain ahead of our competitors.This role will provide key support to Spectrum’s rate execution process, including close interaction with partners in Product and Territory Actuarial, and maintenance and enhancement of external indications support.  This will comprise 60-70% of available time.  Other responsibilities will include analysis of business and class plan performance.  The individual will have a technical background and excellent organizational and communication skills. Prior ratemaking experience for property and casualty lines is preferred.Responsibilities:Execute rate filings for multiple product offeringsDevelop and communicate rate execution recommendations on a regular basisPerform analyses for premium trends, loss cost trends, and other metrics to monitor the health of the productDeep dive analyses into product performance creating actionable insight to improve resultsRegular maintenance and enhancement of external support for rate plan Qualifications: Experience & Skills:1-5 years of experience, preferably in insurance pricing / ratemaking or related functionSelf-motivated with the ability to manage time effectively in an environment with multiple prioritiesExcellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to convey technical concepts to audiences of various levels and diverse technical backgrounds, and to influence business partners to achieve optimal outcomesThought leader.
